Where our listings come from, how salary figures are calculated, and where we use templates and AI.
Listings on our city job pages come from the Adzuna job search API. We refresh our Canadian and US listing caches about once a day and link each listing back to Adzuna, where you apply. Listings posted by employers directly on JobEase are shown on their own pages and come from the employer account that posted them.
We do not check each listing with the employer. Openings close and change quickly, so confirm the details on the employer or Adzuna page before you apply.
The job list on our remote job role pages, and the listing counts on our research and career resources pages, come from the JobEase job database, not from Adzuna. It holds listings imported from LocalJobsHQ, listings saved from job search APIs JobEase has connected to (Adzuna, The Muse, Arbeitnow, RemoteOK and JSearch), and job postings that JobEase users save when they track their own applications. Each one links to its original posting.
These listings are not checked with the employer and some may have closed. Open the original posting to confirm it is still live before you apply.
Salary ranges on our role and city guides are JobEase estimates. Each role has one hand-curated base range; experience-level and city figures are that range adjusted by fixed multipliers. They are not drawn from a salary survey or from government statistics.
Treat these numbers as a rough guide. Real pay depends on the employer, your experience and the local market, so check current postings for the role.
Role pages (salary guides, job descriptions, interview questions, resume examples) and city job pages are generated from templates filled with structured data about each role and city. A city job page is built only when recent listings for that role exist in that city, and it shows the listings behind it.
Template pages can share wording across roles. They are starting points, not individual advice.
Resume tailoring, cover letters and interview practice use large language models to draft text from your own resume and the job description you provide. Blog articles are drafted with AI models (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4o, Meta Llama and Apple's on-device Foundation Models have been used) through an automated publishing pipeline.
AI output can be wrong. Review anything the tools write before you send it, and check figures in articles against the source they name.
Figures on our research page are counts from the JobEase database (accounts, tracked applications, active listings in the job database described above), calculated when the page is generated. See the research page.
If something on JobEase is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
